For more than forty years, the Wychwoods Local History Society has collected, researched and preserved material recording the history of Ascott-under-Wychwood, Milton-under-Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood and the surrounding area.

Our archives bring together photographs, articles and research, personal recollections, sound recordings and film — preserving the people, places and stories that have shaped the Wychwoods.

Whether you are researching your family, looking for a familiar face or place, or simply curious about life in the Wychwoods in years gone by, there is plenty to discover.
