The cottage, Fiddlers Hill, Shipton. The far cottage in the row in the centre was of J. Wilkinson. The couple are George (d.1940) and Amy Eliza Smith (d.1958), who lived in the cottage from 1922. The cottage was by then two made into one. It was lived in by members of 3 generations until 1957. Amy Eliza's daughter also Amy, stayed during the war with her three children while husband Hector was away. Amy Eliza's grand-daughter, also Amy, lived there with her grandmother, her husband Eric McShea and their children until 1957.
